Clare Buxton BVMS CertAVP MRCVS & Peter Buxton BVMS MRCVS
'Clare and Pete graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1999, gaining extensive experience working in small animal practice before purchasing Barton Veterinary Centre in 2008.
Since 2008 Barton Veterinary Centre has expanded and developed and we are very proud of the team and care that we provide. We both care passionately about our work. Clare has since gained her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) - this is a Masters level qualification awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons after examination by The University of Liverpool Veterinary School and The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh. It took 3 years of hard work and research to attain and enables the practice to keep ensuring that we are delivering the leading standard of care for your pets. We aim to provide the best care to all our patients and their owners in a relaxed and friendly environment. We’re very keen to listen, please feel free to approach Clare, Pete or any other member of staff if you have any comments or suggestions about your practice. We have two children; Eloise and Hannah, a cat - Harry, Moss the dog, a pony and a horse.' |
Tena Kras DVM GPCertEM&S MRCVS
'I graduated from University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2012 and initially worked in a small animal practice in Croatia. After moving to the UK in 2015 I worked in General Practice where I gained my Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care from the European School of Post-Graduate Veterinary Studies. I then worked in an Emergency Clinic before joining Barton Veterinary Centre in the summer of 2020. Although I enjoy all aspects of the job, emergency work remains my absolute favourite. I spend most of my free-time in the company of my own animal...2 retired horses and 2 cats.' |
Felipe Zabaneh DVM MRCVS

‘I have worked in veterinary practice for 6 years and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2007. I have a cross breed dog called Holly who was abandoned at 6 weeks of age, she is now 8 years old and is a friendly little thing but unfortunately has a dislike for male vets. I am also now the proud owner of four rabbits, two French Lops called Dorothy and Douglas and two Belgian Hares yet to be named. I enjoy horse riding , socialising and walking Holly.’ |
Emily Bromfield - RVN
I joined the team as a student at the beginning of my training in 2016. In July 2019 I graduated with a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing from The Royal Veterinary College and I am thrilled to finally be a qualified RVN! I have a cat called Minnie, who I adopted at the end of a week’s work experience. She can be quite mischievous and enjoys sleeping all day. In my spare time I enjoy reading and baking. |
Courtney Robinson - RVN
I joined Barton Veterinary Centre in July 2019, starting my Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in September. I’m extremely excited to get started as I love animals and cant wait to work with them everyday, helping them in some way and to also have a more hands on job after being an Admin Assistant in my previous job. I currently don’t have any pets but I’m sure my constant nagging for one will crack my boyfriend soon and when I finally get one it’ll be the most spoilt doggie ever! Until then all my love will be going to those that come to Barton Veterinary Centre. |
Veterinary Care Assistant
Ayesha Dowse - Veterinary Care Assistant
I have always wanted to work with animals and got the opportunity to become part of the team at Barton Veterinary Centre in 2007. I then qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2013. At home I have a grumpy tortoiseshell cat called Tikka, tropical fish and we are planning to get some chickens soon. When I'm not at work the majority of my time is spent running around after my little boy, I also enjoy walking and gardening. |
